The APWA Ayesha Siddiqa Primary and Secondary School is located in Gujarnalla, Liaquatabad. It was established in 1984, and was registered with the Sindh Board of Secondary Education, Karachi in 1991. In 1994 the primary section came into being. In 1996 a laboratory was constructed for the science section.
At the commencement of the new term, an English Medium curriculum has been implemented from Kindergarten I and II, increasing the level by one class every year. the secondary section consists of girls while the primary is co-education. Along with education, extra curricular activities and educational visits are also part of the educational curriculum. Every year Mehfil-e-Milad, Independence Day, Annual Picnic, Farewell parties, Seasonal Exhibitions, Paintings and Poster competitions, Meena Bazaars and Annual Sports Day are also held with great enthusiasm. All the students and teachers participate in these activities.
Presently there are over 200 students studying in this school, being managed by 14 teachers, under the able guidance of Principal, Munawar Sultana, Administrator Mrs. Khalida Raza and Chairperson Mrs. Sajida Soomro.
Nominal school fees are taken from the students - additionally some of APWA's distinguished members contribute their zakat to help students who cannot afford to pay fees.The computer lab has been handed over to the school management in order to give basic computer education to the students of the secondary classes.
Ayesha Siddiqa Girl's School observed the HIV/AIDS Day in the school on 3rd December 2007. Students adopted a very unique idea to convey the message of HIV/AIDS prevention and cure to the general masses. They made clay models of persons using dolls to depict the various methods of sharing information helping to avoid the HIV/AIDS.
The Principal of Ayesha Siddiqa Girls' School invited the APWA team, parents and principals nearby the area. The students made a presentation to highlight the message of HIV/AIDS. This session was greatly appreciated by all as it provided an exchange of very pertinent information and views.
In the month of October 2009- the school celebrated its silver jubillee. A memorable ceremony was held for the guests and participants. Famous Naat Khawan Ms. Tabinda Lari was the Chief Guest.
Investment in education girls and women raised the index of progress towards sustainable economic growth to social development.
