The British name of N.W.F Province has been changed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa accordance to the tubes who live there. This was a constitutional vote amd a long time in being formulated.
APWA’s activities there areas following:
1) A founders’ day meeting was held in February, 2012 at Dewan e Khas, a fine dinning restaurant that celebrates regional cuisines,in Peshawar. The event owes its success to the boundless magnanimity of the hostess Nighat Bilour.We had a terrific response as 135 members showed up for the meet. The lunch was not without an informed purpose though. Besides the fact that, it served as a splendid occasion to catch up with the most of our members, as the spring season unfurled itself, the event was held to moot and educate our members on women’s rights and protecting such rights and improving the lives of women and girls on the ground. Among the attendees were distinguished members of parliament including Bushra Gohar, MNA, Farah Aqil Shah, Senator,and Sitara Ayaz MPA and the provincial minister for women affairs and social development.
2) Our next meeting, which was attended by 45 members, saw us achieve an important milestone, as the following names were announced to chair the district We wish them all our best and assure them of our open-handed support in their future endeavors.

3) Final names of representatives from Swat and Dir are being awaited.
In September 2012, amidst blissful pageantry surrounded by the rhapsody of laughter and music,a funfair was held to mark the inauguration of our Mardan branch. We wish to congratulate Zubaida Ehsan for putting together a fun-filled and a well organized event with an impressive turnout. The attendee shada ballat the funfair, boogieing to the spirited music,while enjoying the delicious festive food and shopping at the stalls with embroidered merchandise and decorated clothes.
4) In October 2012, APWA members hosted another well attended “General Body Meeting” at Cafe Crunch in Peshawar. Besides the scrumptious lunch, the ladies threw their cautious reserve to the wind and stopped with charitable abundance at the APWA products stall to by our donors who are taxed in the UK. This source of income is a tremendous help for Charities doing their work.
