APWA Overview

“This is an All Pakistan Women’s Association, entirely non-political and without distinction of caste, creed or color, organized for the purpose of coordinating all efforts and policies for the cultural developments, social uplift and educational progress of the women of Pakistan.” – Begum Raana Liaquat Ali Khan, inaugral address February 22, 1949.

APWA’s Mission: Social and economic empowerment of women through education and health initiatives, vocational training and advocacy.

APWA’s Vision: To enable Pakistani women to become a catalyst of positive change in the society.

APWA’s Core Values: Equity, Inclusivity, Transparency, Innovation, Integrity and Respect.

APWA’s Target Group: Under privileged women and children living in urban slums, peri urban villages, out of school children, jail inmates, artisans and house hold workers.
